Essen Revir
The mid-southern continent of Elorae. From the golden coasts of the west, to the marshes and plains of the east, and to the magnificent singing glades in between, Essen Revir boasts a diverse range of regions and cultures. There are six main regions on the continent.
Of gold sands and sun-scorched coasts, the nation of Tumunz sits proudly in a great lush oasis known as Tum Saral. There, in the exotic oasis, palmed goldtrees blow in the warm winds as the sparkling blue waters lap on the sandy shores. The capital of the nation, Tumunzir, is famously known for its unmatched wealth and is the ancestral home of Larellan the Golden. Tum Masa is home to the worlds largest banks, where it is said their coffers of treasure are endless. Many merchants travel to and from the Golden Coast of Tumunz from all over to engage in dreams of mecantile. Tumunz is known for its many agricultural exports such as the deliciously sweet golden apples, tart tumfruit, and the exotic arupo.

South of Tumunz is the region of Jatar, a lush landscape of warm tropics and ridged rainforests. Most of the civilization of Jatar rests on the coast, known as the Jatar Strand. Its largest city, Denthe, offers safety within its walls from raiders and pirates off the coast, however, there is no primary principality in Jatar. Rather, the seaside villages engage in trade amongst themselves as well as Tumunz. Trade with the eastern land of Elen Asva is limited, as the journey is a long challenge through narrow roads winding under canopy of dangerous wetforests. Jatar's main food source is nutritious coastal kelp that is farmed extensively up and down the shores, which is made into the highly-filling, cultural staple, jat. Ages ago, Jatar was said to be a military power of the greatest naval fleet of all the lands. However, that glory is an old history now, and the days of the fearsome Den'jatar sea-kings are long past.
In the middle of the continent, Elen Asva reigns as undisputed superpower of Essen Revir. The inner land is one of utmost beauty, containing lush flower plains, thick and colorful forests, and deep valleys with extraordinary waterfalls. Food in Asva is found all over, in abundance - lavender truffles, salletgrain, bluerose palms, and the cultural staple, lifelilies. Throughout, many incredible cities rise from the bountiful landscape such as Orian Ras and Eles Jaen, showcasing the long history of the nation after being rebuilt from the ashes of the second age. Elen Asva belongs to the Highborne and none other. In ages past, the Highborne warred with the Helfaust clans of the barren east and came close to being destroyed forever. In truth, the Highborne lost. However, after allegiant reinforcements from the kingdoms of Fala and Myrna, the hordes of Morath were crushed, to never rise again to the fervor seen in the days of The Supremacy.
The village of Sesana lies tucked within the majestic forests of inner Asva, not far from Orian Ras.
The Highborne are a race of proud, beautiful people blessed with symmetrical, fine, and unblemished features. The Highborne are fair of skin, pale of hair, and well-proportioned. Compared to most others, the perfection of the Highborne body, hair, and skin, may seem unnatural and uncomforting. Outside of Elen Asva, Highborne are often seen as out-of-place. Some enemies of the Highborne of Elen Asva claim that their incredible innate beauty is a disguise or obscurement of their true, sinister nature.
To the east are the great open lands of Morath. As the forests of Asva open to grassy highlands, the rolling hills of the wide Than Plateau stretch for hundreds of miles. The plateau then steeply drops eastward, becoming the lowlands known as Morath. Historically, this territory was occupied by the Morathi, a tribal people who are more widely known as "Helfaust" - originally a derogatory term dating back to the Vingian Empire of the first age, roughly meaning "Blood People". The Morathi plain was once claimed by the great tribe-cities of Helgon, named after a famed warlord who in legend was said to father one hundred sons set to rule the world. Their dreams of conquest were bloody and long, vicious might always displaying its ferocious superiority as clans warred against each other. In the fourth age however, the Helfaust clans united as one, and sought to conquer all lands their eyes could see. This was known as The Supremacy. Essen Revir was under savage rule from reaving Helfaust marauders for two hundred years before the remnants of Elen Asva were bolstered by the mighty and immortal Fala and the holy Myrna to end their reign. After the fall of the Helfaust, Morath was imperialized and shown government from the ideals of Asva and the western lords. Now, among the plains, the kingdom of Morath, out of the city of the same name, rules the storied land.
Empty lands sprawl for hundreds of miles in the central Morathi Plain, once battlefields for old wars of the Helfaust.
Northeast of Morath ascends the largest rise in the world, High Shasir, the Black Mountain. The great peak towers over the mountainous terrain - seen far in the distance out from the southern lowlands. Shasir's craggy landscape has few large settlements, save for a handful of cities built into the ridges of the rough rocks. Valleys run with clear streams and rivers descend from the snowcapped peaks. Vegetation is dense in these valleys, with thick dragonpines keeping their colored needles throughout the coldest winter. In the valleys, there are tapir willows, trees that are harvested for their low-hanging, spicy citrus fruits. Similarly, there is draccara, a black flower with thick, spiked roots, farmed and cooked over fire, and Drakesblood, a tall, dark red plant with thick leaves that is crushed for its red juice. Strangely, these are mostly pleasure foods for the Sethian people, and instead, they are often seen eating stone itself.
Shasir is well-known across the world as the land of dragons. Famously, out of Old Shas Gorn, Salaseth, the Ancient dragon of war, awoke in II-714 from a long slumber to bring wrath against the Demon Kings. Seven hundred years later, the dragons flew again - then led by the Val'norain, Gadros, who was accompanied by a legion of warriors enthralled by glories of old wars. The culture of that legion would spread throughout Shasir over the ages, forming what are now a separate race entirely, known as Sethian. Sethian are mostly humanoid, however, ages of dragon worship and living in the cavernous vicinity of where the dragon ancient slumbered, changed their physical nature. Sethian often have scaled skin and larger bones. Their eyes may be more akin to a drake and their teeth might be longer and sharper, amongst other things. They are, on average, heavily familial, their bonds resembling that of the dragon broods of their homeland.
To the southeast exists the marshes and swamplands of the Mire. Large, weeping trees hang over stagnant bogs and deltas formed by rivers that flow out of the elevated lands of the north. The treeless marshland is sparsely populated by inhabitants living in stilted villages, while the swamp towns are built on similar foundations but may incorporate the assistance of large, twisted trees in their architecture. Common foods include the nutritious bogroot, crunchy redstalks, and the ubiquitous graygrain. The people of the Mire are known to be close-knit, quiet, and generally unwelcoming to outsiders. However, once one proves themself to be a valuable friend, Mirefolk show a deep affection and warmth, unbecoming of their tough environment. If one does not, then a swift and shallow grave one will find.
The western marshes of Pruma await the execution of another who slighted the wrong person.
